This Week from Mitch
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This week we celebrate the confirmation and reception of nearly 30 people. Bishop Richards will be with us and I am excited to welcome him! This is our first Bishop's visit in nearly two and a half years. It's an important day. I am grateful for our youth and our adults who are being confirmed. The day will be a blessing.
This Sunday also represents the start of our program year. We will celebrate this with a kick-off of our Sunday school classes. Signage will be up all around campus to help folks get to where they need to go. I am particularly excited by the work our third and fourth-grade teachers have done. Their curriculum promises to be fun and engaging. It's the kind of Sunday School class that I wish I had when I was that age. For our older youth, the youth group is kicking off. I know Alex is excited to see all of you. You guys know what a fun experience it is. Come on, and bring a friend!
I wake up and am excited by the life and vibrance of our community: Guest national speakers, 30 confirmands, international pilgrimages, mission trips, dinners for the homeless, backpack programs, youth activities, movie groups, book groups, gardening groups, lay eucharistic visitors, Daughters of the King, and so much more. There is always something to do. If you want to plug into one of these groups and you are not sure how, please email Caitlyn, Alex or me. We will help to plug you in. We are a community seeking to grow in our faith and our love of the Lord. We are a community of worship, service, learning, and fellowship. We are a community of God and I am thankful.
In Christ,
Mitch
