From the Rector

In this Sunday's worship service, the opening prayer speaks about Christ living in us as we live in him. It reminds us that we are the body of Christ in the world. Whether we are Frances Burns skillfully leading the St. Luke's feeding ministry through this tricky time, or a member of the Altar Guild preparing for services in new ways, or our many, many members volunteering at vaccine locations around the city, or members simply offering their gifts of love to the wider community, we are the body of Christ. Christ lives in us as we live in him. This is a part of baptism. Thank you to all of you who seek to do God's will in the world. You are inspiring.

In this E-messenger and on our website, you will find that our services are changing as we seek to re-gather the body of St. Martin's-in-the-Fields during Holy Week, Easter, and beyond. Our primary focus will be and continues to be on safely worshiping. With that being said, I am particularly excited for our Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday and Easter baptism liturgies. If you desire to be baptized or have a child you want to be baptized and you did not get the baptism email I sent out this week, please let me know!

Worship and church still look and feel different, but it is holy and good. I believe our Holy Week services will be beautiful. You are invited and welcome.

In Christ,
Mitch+
