This Week from Mitch

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

This Easter we once again proclaim to the world that the Risen Lord has conquered sin and death with the words, "Alleluia Christ is Risen." In those words, we cry out to the world that death is not the end of the story. Our hope and our prayer are in those words.

I have longed to celebrate this Holy Week with you all. After two years of not being in the church, it is especially nice to be back with you all in our building, in our worship space, in our church home. Together we will pray, sing God's praises, and celebrate God's Glory. I pray that we will also share the story. The story of our faith and the story of our church home.

The past few years have been hard. They have been hard on people of every age and every demographic. Americans have reported record increases in anxiety and feelings of hopelessness. Jesus offers hope to the hopeless and reminds us, again and again, not to be afraid. He reminds us that we are loved and never truly alone.

We who read this E-Messenger and come to church know the joy and hopefulness of community, and I suspect someone you know could use and benefit from the love that we offer here. I pray that you will invite this person to church. Bring them, invite them, connect or re-connect them to the love of God, and the love of this community. The resurrection was meant to be shared. It is up to us to do the sharing.

In Christ,

Mitch+
