This Week from Mitch
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
I want to write to you about three things, and I will do my best to keep this quick.
The first thing is Stewardship. Please consider your giving to St. Martin's. Your giving helps us to work in the community, touch people's lives, and so much more! Together, this year we airlifted clothes and bedding to Ukraine, re-built a Habitat House, sent pilgrims to Spain and so much more. Your giving and your participation in the ministries of this church are what makes our community so strong.
The second thing I need to say is please COME TO CHURCH, but be careful when you get here. The construction work to make the church more open and accessible to all people has begun. Currently the entrances on the Winthrop and Clemson sides of the church are open. The front doors, however, are blocked off. Clergy, ushers and able-bodied folks from the church will be available to assist you in getting into worship. Please look for a smiling face and don't be afraid to ask for help. Lemonade after the 10:30 service will be available in the parish hall and courtyard instead of on The Point.
Finally, an organization our foundation supports known as "Fresh Start" has reached out. They are experiencing a shortage of men's clothes. Gently used men's clothes can be accepted. New men's underwear of all sizes will also be accepted. If you have some things that you can donate, please bring them to the parish office. We will get them delivered.
In Christ,
Mitch+
