This Week from Mitch

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Alleluia, Christ is risen!

I hope and pray you are well! Soon, perhaps as early as this Sunday evening, you may find yourself receiving a call from a member of our Youth Group. They will be calling to sell you a "stock" investment in our youth. For a minimum of $10, you can buy stock in our kids as they raise funds and prepare for their upcoming spiritual pilgrimage to Ecuador.

As a shareholder, when our youth return from their pilgrimage, you will then be invited to a shareholder's dinner on August 16th. Our youth will cook for us and then give a presentation about their travels.

When they call please be kind to them! Calling someone on the phone, particularly adults in our directory, can be intimidating. They are trying and they are amazing–please match their energy with your own encouragement and generosity.

With that being said, I also need to take a moment this week to say thank you. This Sunday will be Chuck Wilson's last Sunday with us as our interim Organist and Music Director. An interim position can be quite hard, particularly when you are following someone who has been with us for nearly 40 years. Chuck was able to play a beautiful Holy Week and Easter with us, as well as Christmas. We are grateful for his energy, and passion for the organ. Chuck promises to stay close, so please thank him for his service. We also know that it is not "goodbye", just "so long for now". Chuck, thank you for sharing your gift of music with us!
