This Week from Mitch
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I hope and pray that you are well. It is sometimes said, "Time flies when you are having fun." We must be having fun because it feels like Lent has flown by! Fish fries, Bible studies, campus work days, weekly worship, and so much more have filled this season with blessings and busyness. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered! From the work days to the Friday night fish fries to acolytes, altar guild, choir, children's formation, and youth group, over a hundred people have worked to make this Lent at St. Martin's special. Thank you!
This Friday is our last Lenten Fish Fry. Please come on out! We will be cooking all of the fish that we have left. If you want to come make a to-go box, you are welcome, but I encourage you to take some time, walk the stations of the cross, enjoy our labyrinth, either indoors or out (the weather is beautiful), and soak up the beauty of the space that is St. Martin's.
This Sunday, we will celebrate Palm Sunday, our doorway into Holy Week. During Holy Week, we will journey together the way of the cross, the way of Jesus, and the disciples. I encourage and invite you to participate. It will be beautiful, and please invite someone new, or bring a friend. On Easter Sunday, we will have services at 8 and 10:30 AM. Bring a flower for the flowering cross and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with us. It has been a holy and good Lent. As we come to its end, let us worship in the beauty of holiness as a community of faithful friends and family.
In Christ,
Mitch
